
Dr. Lisa Carter, born in El Paso, is a proud Native Texas. She is married and has four children.
She graduated North Texas State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. She earned her Medical degree in 1981 from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Carter completed her residency in Family Medicine in 1984 at John Peter Smith Hospital where she currently has a practice in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. She also has a Board in Medical Acupuncture and Quality Assurance/Utilization Review.
Dr. Carter has held a number of clinical appointments in her career. She as served as a Coordinator of Quality Improvement Program for the Department of Family Medicine. From 2002-2011, she was appointed Medical Director for Physician Quality. She has an appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, as well as an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Texas A & M. In 2010, Dr. Carter was elected President of the Medical Staff at John Peter Smith Hospital. She became the Senior Vice Present of Population Health from 2012 - 2014. She currently is the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine.
In addition to her of love of her patients, family, friends, Dr. Carter enjoys gardening and reading.

Sandra grew up in New York and Texas, which may account for her Accent. She received an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1991 from Collin County Community College. She then continued her nursing education by going on to earn both a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). In her spare time, she has served as an adjunct clinic instructor for UTA since 2003.
Sandra enjoys all things tech, reading, playing with her dogs, gardening, quilting, and spending time with her large extended family (not necessarily in that order).

Brandee has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2004. She holds both a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and a Master's Degree of Science from Texas Tech. In addition to her clinical experience as an advanced practice registered nurse, she has been a clinical instructor for The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) from 2006-2010. She also serves as adjunct faculty for UTA on a limited basis. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

Marilyn has practiced pediatric nursing for over 25 years. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at West Texas State University (now West Texas A & M) and has enjoyed her role as a patient advocate and educator. She also enjoys the fun, variety, and challenges of working with children and their families. Her goal is for each one of her young patients to reach his or her most healthy and productive potential. She is active in her church, loves to read, take walks, and spend time with her family, especially her adorable granddaughters.

Lisa Hernandez was born and bred in Texas. She went back to school, after her children grew up, to fulfill a dream of becoming a nurse. Lisa graduated from the JPS School of Nursing in 2002 as an LVN. She enjoys walking, traveling, and spending time with her grandson (and the rest of her family, of course).
